NISHMA B'IYUN: Women in Judaism

Following the order of the mitzvot as presented by the Sefer HaChinuch, NISHMA B'IYUN: Women in Judaism will methodically investigate each command to present any distinction in law between men and women. Each distinction is studied for their effects on Halacha as well as their insight into the status and role of women in Jewish thought. In addition, one will find that this study sheds new light on each mitzvah in particular and on the entire corpus of Halacha and Torah thought in general.

It should be noted that this investigation has no interest in apologetics. Differences of opinions are fully noted and statements found within the sources are presented without regard for their "political correctness." It is Nishma's belief that it is only thereby that we will gain a full understanding of this important Torah subject.
